Description
1.1 Bristol City Council is looking for an experienced contractor to carry out essential repairs to the old coal hopper at Broughton House, Redcliffe area of Bristol 1.2 An extensive refurbishment project of external repairs to Broughton House, including: concrete repairs, structural repairs, External wall insulation, new windows, walkway & balcony screen replacement, asbestos removal, demolition of existing garages, Roof replacement works, walkway and balcony floor covering, external works including landscaping, was carried out but the coal hopper was not included for in these works at the time. 1.3 The hopper is now suffering from water ingress. This has be addressed as though a long term solution as water penetration could cause deterioration to the concrete and compromise protection to the gas main running through the hopper.
