Description

Herefordshire Council currently has over 300 children who are in the care system (Looked After Children). This number fluctuates and may increase over the next few years. The Virtual School in Herefordshire has responsibility for the education of these children. The children attend many different educational establishments both in and out of county. Electronic Personal Education Plans - These are a statutory plan of how professionals around the child looked after will support their educational outcomes and achievement. It is developed and reviewed termly with the designated teacher, young person, social worker, carer and virtual school. It includes things such as strengths and achievements, academic targets, views of the pupil and future aspirations. Attendance Tracking System - the virtual school have a statutory obligation to report on the attendance of looked after children. In addition, the virtual school wish to monitor attendance and respond quickly to any absences. They require daily reporting of attendance and absence codes from a variety of educational establishments. Please note that your Cloud based systems must already be in existence and be in use in at least 2 local authorities. We do not require a supplier to develop a system for us.
