## Description

Universities are rising to the challenge of commercialisation inventions, research, innovations, discovery and intellectual property\. This is done through a variety of methods and funding sources which are made available to Universities\. One of which is the Northern Accelerator brand\. PulmoBiomed Technology Breath analysis opens up a new non-invasive source of diagnostic data\. Solving the challenges of creating a diagnostic platform based on breath will generate a raft of patient-centred solutions, products and commercial opportunities\. The initial brief of the executive will be to: \(1\) Produce a viable business plan; \(2\) Obtain university approval for the venture; \(3a\) Act for the company in the spin-out legal process and address all company formation matters; \(3b\) Obtain founder academics' and Northumbria University \(including the Director of Research and Innovation\) approval for appointment as CEO\. \(3c\) Provide to the appropriate university all matters necessary for ERDF / Research England reporting requirements; \(4\) Secure \(venture capital and / or other\) funding in accordance with the business plan\.
