Work description
The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew has awarded a contract for the loading/unloading, storage, transportation and project management of the installation and derig of artworks in relation to the Chihuly Exhibition at Kew Gardens in 2019.
The Chihuly exhibition will be the main summer visitor marketing campaign for 2019. The purpose of the exhibition is to help achieve our target paying and total visitor number in summer 2019, thus providing day‐visitor ticket income and also supporting secondary income and membership retention & recruitment.
Dale Chihuly is an internationally renowned glass sculptor, with works of art on display in RBG Kew, hotels and visitor attractions all over the world. Chihuly will be exhibiting his works (to form the primary visitor campaign for the year) at Kew Gardens in 2019 from April 11 - October 27. There will be 10 main outdoor locations for the pieces and three indoor locations, and they will require transporting, handling and installing safely into the Gardens.
