A46 Coopers Hill Southern Corner

The A46 Coopers Hill South Corner scheme will remediate the historic landslip movements that have resulted in deterioration of the carriageway surface, supporting Vehicular Restraint System (VRS) and slope below. The scheme will improve traffic conditions for people living and working in Gloucestershire by improving highways safety along the A46. This contract will deliver the construction and remediation of the A46 Coopers Hill South Corner site located south of Brockworth, Gloucestershire.

Construction and remediation will include; • Installation of 42 No. 750mm piles over an approximate 85m section along the northern verge. • Installation of VRS into pile capping beam. • Additional 40m of VRS to be installed using conventional foundation. • Road realignment with installation of associated drainage.

The proposed procurement route will be a single stage (open process) using the NEC4 ECC Option A Priced form of contract with Activity Schedule.

The procurement process will be undertaken using the Council's electronic tendering portal www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk
