Description
The Welfare and Vulnerability Engagement Training (WAVE) was a Metropolitan Police initiative rolled out in 2017 and built upon the Ask For Angela initiative created in 2016. WAVE was different in that its purpose was to raise awareness amongst staff working in pubs, clubs and other licensed premises about the potential vulnerability of their customers. In 2021 the decision was made that an external body should deliver the WAVE training. Safer Business Network were the chosen provider and continue to deliver this training. Recognising a better delivery method with broader reach was needed Safer Business Network, produced an e-learning version of WAVE. Additional information: This is an activity based contract with no fixed contract end date, the estimated date, based on expected usage will be 3 years.
