Timeline
Description
A programme of works was developed to deliver the full project. This took completion dates beyond the Salix funding cut-off date of March 2022. Ways where explored to reduce this and target completions for March 2021. The activities on the programme which would have the most impact in reducing the time scales were identified as a) the tendering and b) the contractor design periods. The mitigation is to be making direct awards and enter into Pre-Construction Service Agreements (PCSA), thereby engaging the contractors at an earlier stage. The contractor selected are from the existing PAN1068 framework. This was considered the most appropriate method of selection, as the contractors, to be on the framework had previously been approved by LCC and works could be spread evenly.
