## Description

The University of Plymouth will be looking to acquire a Thermal Analysis suite to service teaching and research in materials characterisation \(ceramics, metals, polymers and composites\), food science and chemistry\. The core equipment would include: • DTA \(Differential Thermal Analysis\)/DSC \(Differential Scanning Calorimetry\), • TGA \(ThermoGravimetric Analysis\)/DTG \(Differential ThermoGravimetry\), with capability for TPO \(Temperature programmed oxidation\) and TPR \(Temperature programmed reduction\), • Dilatometry/TMA \(Thermo-Mechanical Analysis\), • DMTA \(Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis\) at a scale to permit the determination of the effect of composite mesostructures, • Appropriate balances and preparation equipment
