Work description
The Superfast Leicestershire project is working to extend the availability of Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband across the county of Leicestershire. To this end, Leicestershire County Council has previously invested public funds through two contracts (Phase 1 and Phase 2), to extend the availability of NGA infrastructure in areas where no commercial plans were available from market players as verified through State Aid Public Consultations to almost 97 % of premises in the county.
The County Council intends to run a new procurement to secure a telecom provider(s) to deploy Next Generation Access solutions - those capable of achieving a minimum of 30Mbps download speed - for the remaining areas in scope for NGA deployment. Further information regarding the tender is available in the Data Room.
The procurement will follow an Open procedure and with the contract(s) expected to be awarded in May 2019. TO APPLY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY : https://www.eastmidtenders.org
