Tyres and Tyre Related Services II

Description

The aim of the procurement was the appointment of one supplier to supply tyres and associated tyre maintenance and support services for the Council's fleet of 480 directly owned, leased and hired commercial vehicles. Subcontracting is acceptable, but the bidding supplier will be responsible for ensuring smooth and effective delivery of the contract. The term of the contract is for a period of three years with an option to extend for a further twelve months subject to ongoing requirements, resources and performance. The Authority's requirements for this service span a variety of services including roadside support, supply and fitting of new and remoulded tyres and repair of tyres. In order to operate a seamless, coordinated approach to tyres and tyres services. The estimated value of the contract is £480,000 over the initial 3-year term and £640,000 over its potential 4-year term.
