## Description

Solihull MBC is looking to implement a contract for the provision of a Healthwatch Service in the borough of Solihull to a single supplier\. The contract is to be for 3 years starting on 1st July 2020 with the option to extend for 1 \+ 1 years\. The contract is required to deliver the seven functions of Healthwatch as described in the service specification, for the borough of Solihull\. o Gathering views and understanding the experiences of people who use services, carers and the wider community o Making people's views known o Promoting and supporting the involvement of people in the commissioning and provision of local care services and how they are scrutinised o Recommending investigation or special review of services via Healthwatch England or directly to the Care Quality Commission \(CQC\) o Providing information \(signposting\) about access to services and support for making informed choices o Making the views and experiences of people known to Healthwatch England \(and to other local Healthwatch organisations\), and providing a steer to help it carry out its role as national champion o NHS Complaints Advocacy identification and signposting
