## Description

The Non-Geographic Numbers \(NGN\) service is the primary enabler for DWP customers to contact the departmental business units by telephone with benefit related queries from within the UK, via either mobile, landline or payphone, using prefixed freephone numbers, such as 0800, 0808 and 0845\. The NGN service is the channel through which customers contact DWP agencies when wishing to create, validate or query their benefit claims\.
