Reporting Accountant for the DWP Housing Benefit Return - AWARD

OXFORD CITY COUNCIL

In accordance with the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014, Oxford City Council is required to enlist their own Auditors to perform statutory duties for public sector accounting. These auditors have to be registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).

To provide a 'reporting accountant' facility to Oxford City Council Benefit Service for the completion of the audit of the annual claim form starting from 2022/2023 to the DWP for Housing Benefit expenditure.

To issue a final assurance report (AUP) to the DWP and to deal with any subsequent issues arising following this submission until the settlement with the DWP has been agreed.
