26045 Historic Environment Record and associated file/data storage

This contract is for the annual contract for supply of software, software maintenance and digital storage for the Historic Environment Team including that using software no longer supported by CambsCC.

HET provide archaeological planning services to the county council and all district councils via funded SLAs, plus advice on environmental stewardship to support Cambridgeshire farmers. The HER as the core dataset for archaeological and other heritage data is a central and essential element in the delivery of this. HERs themselves have been defined as a statutory function for upper tier authorities in the Levelling Up & Regeneration Act 2023 but the necessary regulations and guidance are still awaited.

Additional information: Initial contract of 36 months with and optional extension of 12 months. This was a call-off from a G-Cloud 14 Framework.
