WP3576 - Wider Determinants to Health Communication Campaign

We are seeking to roll out a communications campaign which looks to:

o Succinctly articulate the key role that wider determinants of health play in three key areas (focusing on transport, finance and housing)

o Provide information on selected local support services available that support people to improve their health

o Emphasise key messages which link to these services

The selected local support services relate to cycling / walking (transport), energy efficiency schemes (housing) and debt management / (finance). For each of these areas we have some key messages that we would like to promote as well as Council support services / programmes. We envisage that each of these three areas will sit under an overarching framing of the message about the importance of wider determinants to health.

The key objectives for each of the three areas are: o Cycling: increase the number of people cycling in Walsall, by raising awareness of schemes that promote cycling locally o Energy efficiency: increase the number of people living in energy efficient homes by promoting the Council's schemes aimed at vulnerable people o Finance: debt management and income maximization
