Principal Data Analyst

Description

MC require specific support at a principal-level to lead data analytics and product development, which is the reason for this procurement. The successful candidate will report to Midlands Connect's Head of Strategy (Richard Bradley) and support him in transforming the way evidence is produced so it is effective in delivering against all requirements. This will also require MCs suppliers to transition to this new way of working, requiring further resources in the new digital environment. MC are looking for an individual (or individuals), with appropriate experience and expertise in the transport data, modelling and appraisal discipline, to join their team for an initial period to provide programme support. MCs primary focus is on data analytics using PostgreSQL, FME and python approaches and developing visual value using Plotly Dash. Any experience with other transport modelling tools (e.g., Power BI) would be welcome but is secondary to this primary focus.
