## Description

The Department of Health's Office of Health Improvement and Disparities wishes to commission qualitative research to explore how staff working in Maternity Services, Health Visiting and Early Years settings \(non-domestic settings and child minders\) use their roles to contribute to the prevention of childhood obesity and to establish what more could be done to make these roles more effective\. The research should explore individuals' experiences of this aspect of their work identifying any issues or concerns about confidence, skills, and capacity as well as how the organisation of their work and the wider system of provision of specialist services helps or hinders them perform this aspect of their role\.
