PLEASE NOTE: While this notice is withdrawn from Contracts Finder, the procurement opportunity remains active and the Tender Notice can be accessed via the Central Digital Flatform (i.e. Find a Tender), at the following link: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/059278-202(The Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) is an ambitious programme to accelerate the delivery of sustainable fusion energy. The STEP programme will design and build the world's first compact prototype fusion powerplant, based on the spherical tokamak design, by 2040s. Currently, the concept design of all major systems and plant are in an ongoing refinement process The purpose of this contract is to develop a concept control system of a Power and Energy Management System (PEMS), and to further develop the powerplant simulation models for its STEP Prototype Plant (SPP) Electrical Infrastructure system.
