EKFB JV - Mechanical & Electrical Works for Green Tunnel Portal Building Normal Emergency Lighting Package

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 15 viaducts, 5 km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 81 bridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.

EKFB are looking for a competent contractor to provide the normal emergency lighting works.

The internal and external lighting systems for the portal building must be designed to meet the functional requirements specified in the Lighting Design. The design must comply with BS EN 12464-1 and 12464-2, CIBSE Lighting Guide, the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) standards, and HS2 Standards. Installation must follow BS7671:2018 18th edition IET wiring regulations and manufacturer instructions.

Lighting calculations for the incoming HV room A & B, Transformer A & B room, MNO Comms room, and HS2 Comms room A & B are based on proposed equipment/rack locations. Any changes in equipment/rack locations during installation will require recalculations to confirm the design.
