(STWWMP - SUNDERLAND) CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION AND OPERATION OF A COMPOSTING FACILITY AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES

Gateshead Council, as lead Authority for the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership (STWWMP), is tendering this Contract on behalf of Sunderland City Council (the Authority), which is a member of the STWWMP. The contract is for the Provision and Operation of a Composting Facility to receive and process collected Green Waste. The requirements of the service under this Contract are: — The provision of a Composting Facility to receive and compost Green Waste; — Dependant on the location of the Composting Facility a suitable supporting Delivery Point/s should be considered from which the Contractor will transfer the delivered material to the appropriate processing Facility; — The transfer of the composted materials to suitable merchants or end users; — The provision of a complete record of all materials delivered, the interim merchants/outlets and the ultimate destination of each material.
