## Description

Through this research project we aim to set up a structured, quantitative research process which allows us to continually build an understanding of the communications needs of our audiences\. We want to use this process to build an ongoing conversation with our audiences, so our communications can constantly adapt as required\. Our overall objective is to generate actionable insights to inform the development of effective communications plans, and to use the ongoing tracker as part of our evaluation process\. We envisage running surveys, among the public, to: 1\. Identify awareness in relation to Defra policy areas \(developing baselines where appropriate\); 2\. Identify the most effective channels and sources to communicate \(including official sources, key influencers, and news consumption\)\.
