Termination of Pregnancy Services in North East Essex

NHS North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) invited suitably qualified service providers to submit tenders for the provision of Termination of Pregnancy Services in North East Essex. The successful Provider is expected to manage the following aspects of Terminations of Pregnancy service: - Terminations <24 weeks (unless excluded under this contract) - Sexual Health advice, information and signposting Contraception and birth control (i.e. IUD) - Any women who chooses not to be seen within an NHS trust for: *Evacuation of products of conception from uterus. Pathways and processes will be developed as part of the mobilisation period; *Miscarriage <10 weeks. Pathways and processes will be developed as part of the mobilisation period. - Sexual health testing - Chlamydia - HIV testing. Additional information: The contract term will be for an initial 60 months, with the option to extend by a further 24 months. You are advised that the £3,161,429 value relates to the 7 years (5 years plus option to extend by 2 years). The maximum contract value for the 5 year contract is £2,258,164. The services which this process relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended by the Public Procurement Amendments, etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 ("The Regulations"). As such, the CCG does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 Services.
