## Description

This contract is essential for Highways Maintenance team to deliver statutory duties, including:\\r - minor maintenance works;\\r - minor coated macadam patching and pothole reinstatement to carriageways and footways;\\r - relaying and replacing slabs;\\r - relaying and replacing kerbs and channels;\\r - adjusting boxes;\\r - fixing and adjusting small signs;\\r - cutting and trimming trees, hedges and shrubs;\\r - removing obstructions from the highway;\\r - providing assistance to the emergency services;\\r - reacting to civil contingencies which may include severe weather events and oil spills;\\r \\r The contract is intended to last for an initial 8 year period with two optional 2 year extensions\.\\r \\r Estimated value is £2million per annum \(up to £16million for the initial period and up to £24million if all extension exercised\)\.
