Work description
The National Institute of Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) is a centre of the Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency (MHRA). NIBSC is based at South Mimms in Hertfordshire.
We have 23 coldrooms on site. We are looking for a rolling programme of refurbishment over 2 years.
Cold Rooms are fundamental in storing and keeping samples at the correct temperature, the project must deliver a cold room that can maintain the temperature within defined parameters, and the refrigeration system must give reliable service after install. The Insulation must be to the best industry standard available without allowing condensation within the cold room, and energy savings must be achieved through all of the above. Enough time must be allowed to achieve an upgraded cold room, however consideration should be given to the inconvenience of affected users, and how this can be mitigated.
