Promoting Inclusion, Challenging Discrimination and Cultural Capability Training for Children and Family Services in Cornwall

We are committed to having a service that is aware of and responds to the need of people from BME and minority groups and individuals. In order to achieve this it is critical that practitioners understand the value that inclusion brings to communities, organisations and society and that they are able to recognise and challenge prejudice and discriminatory practice. Furthermore we must ensure that practitioners are equipped with the tools they need to implement the principles of cultural capability.These workshops are intended to ensure that practitioners are able to promote inclusion, challenge diversity and implement cultural capability. This contract will cover a 2 year period with an option to extend for a further year. In each year we would like the provider to deliver 12 days of training, broadly speaking this would equate to one day each month for the duration of the contract.
