KMCIRS-134 - Dewsbury Town Fund Investment Plan

Kirklees Council is seeking to commission a consultant to prepare an Investment Plan to underpin the development of the Dewsbury Town Deal.

In November 2019 the Government announced that Dewsbury was one of 101 towns to be afforded the opportunity to secure a Town Deal. The Towns Fund forms part of the Government's approach to 'levelling up' towns in the North and Midlands and achieve a more balanced approach to economic growth.

The Towns Fund will provide core public investment of up to £25m in Town Deals, to deliver long-term economic growth and productivity.

This contract is anticipated to commence on 20th April 2020 and the plan must be complete by 17th July 2020.
