## Description

The South West Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme \(SWRCMP\) undertakes the collection, analysis and storage of various forms of coastal survey data around the South West of England\. It covers 2450 km of coastline from Portland Bill round to Beachley\. It has been undertaking this since 2006 and has a 16 year record of observations\. The surveys are to be used as part of a long-term programme of coastal monitoring, to analyse coastal processes and provide data for operational and strategic shoreline management\.
