Description
Royal Armouries wishes to procure a transport agent (supplier) to transport collection objects between its sites and to and from other locations within the U.K. (excluding Northern Ireland). The other locations in the U.K. include cultural institutions, auction houses or private individuals. Sometimes the objects will need to be deinstalled and packed before transport and or unpacked and installed following transport. The supplier may need to supply appropriate packing media. Very large and or heavy objects such as artillery are excluded from this tender. The supplier must have a Section 5 carrier licence, storage approved by the Art's Council Manager - Security and Protection Advice and a vehicle that meets the requirements outlined in the tender specification. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
