Work description
The University has recently been awarded funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for the purchase of a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) system, principally for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of Gases including but not limited to carbon-dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, etc and other molecules of geochemical, biological and environmental importance that have been extracted from waters, soils, sediments, crude oils and biological materials. The system forms part of the One Planet Analytical Suite and will be housed in the GC Laboratory, (room 4.16) Drummond Building.
The requirements of the equipment can be found in Sections 3.2 and 3.3 of the ITT document:
The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery and installation of the equipment detailed in the ITT document to the University, with after-sales support and 36 months warranty and maintenance
