Work description

This programme is designed to support participants who require a BSL Interpreter in order to participate in the Black Country Impact Programme.

This provision will support participants who wish to get involved in a range of activities and training provision to move closer towards their career aspirations.

Participants will need a BSL interpreter in order to support their development. They may also have a range of other barriers which could include disabilities and mental health. Providers must demonstrate their experience of working with these groups.

Interpreters will need to travel to support our participants at locations determined by their training provision (within the Sandwell area). Support could be delivered remotely where clients are taking part in remote learning. Advance notice will be given of upcoming sessions. Travel costs must be incorporated in the hourly rate.

It is anticipated that providers will be aligned and approved by the NRCPD. All interpreters must have a current standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

As a company you must have a current safeguarding policy and valid professional indemnity insurance.
