Description
Ofgem's role as independent regulator of the gas and electricity industries naturally leads to significant interaction with the UK Government and Parliament, the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament, and the Welsh Government and Welsh Assembly, and other key energy stakeholders such as think-tanks, consumer groups and campaign organisations with an interest in energy issues, across Great Britain. A key aspect of managing this interaction is monitoring what is being said, debated and discussed in the UK Parliament, the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly and more widely in Great Britain that is relevant to, or that may impact on, our role and our work. As part of the Services Ofgem will need access to: - timely notification (by email) of important parliament and assembly announcements and announcements by other key energy stakeholders; - summaries of key debates and other political activities, e.g. Committee meetings and Committee Reports, assembly Questions and Answers and Motions; - information on the planning and progress of relevant new legislation; and - up-to-date biographical information on elected representatives. Ofgem will accept Proposals from tenderers interested in bidding for one or more of the UK Government and Parliament, and/or Wales, and/or Scotland.
