PAMS 060 - Modelling the role of surface properties in collision risk

Description

The work will provide an understanding of the road safety implications of decisions relating to skid resistance and related surface characteristics. This is needed to avoid under- or over-specification of materials and to inform decisions relating to prioritisation of maintenance, response to potential loss of skid resistance from changing weather patterns, and optimisation of surfacings to reduce carbon.
