## Description

The Client \(UKAEA\) wishes to develop a remotely operable pipe connection which can be made with a misalignment of up to 5° and with the minimum of delay to establish a high integrity seal\. The desire for speed and misalignment differ from the traditional approach in the reactor industry\. The connection will be operated \(connected/disconnected\) by remote means and/or equipment\. To reduce development costs and time UKAEA are ultimately seeking to identify a Consultant that has experience in pipe connectors in different industries to provide knowledge transfer, to enable new ideas and to meet the need\.
