GB-Basildon: Mixed Glass Recycling Collection Services

Basildon Borough Council is seeking to let a contract for Haulage and Recycling of Mixed Glass. The Council requires the haulage and recycling of mixed glass circa 4,000 tonnes pa (which has been collected source segregated at the kerbside) to be collected by the Contractor from the Collection Point and delivered by him to his own facilities for Treatment. There is no payment to the successful bidder, the Council are expecting to receive an income per tonne for its mixed glass.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.As part of this tendering process the Economic Operator must be able to supply evidence of planning permission and environmental permits of its recycling plant.
