Description

The objective of this study is to assess and quantify the risk marine vessels may pose to marine infrastructure (subtidal intakes and outfalls) of the proposed Bradwell B project. The aim is to describe vessel activity within the general infrastructure siting zone*, determine areas of greater or lower risk and to make recommendations for the siting of marine infrastructure in relation to the risk from vessels and other mitigation measures which could be applied. A quantitative risk assessment of the risk of incidents with subtidal infrastructure sites is required. The primary requirement is to assess the frequency of collision incidents that have the potential to result in the partial or total loss of marine intakes and outfalls functionality.
