Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Brokerage, Support, Training and Advice Service for schools and families in the Orthodox Jewish Communities in Salford, throughout all stages of the SEND process for ages 0-25

The local authority has a shared responsibility for the Educational Health and Care outcomes of all children and young people in Salford who have special educational needs or disability irrespective of where they are educated in the city. The local authority does not have the internal resources to provide a culturally appropriate service with the required community links to successfully work with schools in the Orthodox Jewish Community. Consequently, the local authority currently commissions a culturally appropriate service to work with OJC schools to help meet the needs of their pupils and parents at SEN school support stage and with the implementation of EHCPs where appropriate.
