002214 RFI Consolidated Broadcast and TV Capture Service

Description

As part of the Sound and Moving Image collections, there are two digital collections added to on a daily basis: •The National Radio Archive collection •The Broadcast News collection Each of these collections use different solutions (capture and software) and the content held in different repositories. The Library is looking to see if there is one solution for the 2 collections. he British Library views this RFI process as one potential route to inform the future procurement of the goods and/or services described. The information gathered under this RFI may be used to evaluate potential suppliers and service offers and produce a shortlist for invitation to tender. At this stage, no final decision has been taken on the precise procurement route to be followed. When submitting information, all organisations should note that this is not currently a tender opportunity but is part of a market consultation exercise aiming to ensure that the procurement route selected and the options ultimately developed for any procurement are properly informed.
