Historic England (HE) is the public body that helps people care for, enjoy and celebrate England's spectacular historic environment. A key part of this work is the support HE provides to both the heritage and adjacent sectors to develop capacity. To achieve this, HE's Sector Resilience and Skills Team works to understand skills and knowledge gaps that impact the historic environment and design appropriate interventions to address them. This includes skills and knowledge gaps within the construction sector, whose workforce performs works to historic buildings.
