## Description

Prepaid cards, which are similar to a debit card, were primarily used to replace the manual distribution of cash to Client Finance service users \(those subject to an appointeeship / Court of Protection deputyship\) and for the direct payment to service users in Adults and Children social care\. Following the implementation, the offer of a card for a direct payment for Adult Services has ceased\. There are currently three active programmes using prepaid cards, provided to the council by Prepaid Card Financial Services \(PFS\): • Client Finance Programme • Direct Payments - Children's Services • Corporate Procurement Programme\.
