## Description

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council \(BwD\) Virtual School have a statutory duty to promote the educational achievement of children in our care - that is children who are looked after to the Local Authority wherever they live or are educated\. We recognise that due to the challenges they have faced in their early life, educational outcomes are often impacted\. For this reason, we offer additional educational support specifically in English and Maths to our upper primary and secondary school pupils\. We are therefore looking to appoint a tuition partner who will provide this service in relation to BwD Looked After Children throughout the academic year\.
