FoNT PSTN Re-procurement

Description

The Environment Agency depends on telemetry systems to provide real-time rainfall, river and coastal telemetry data essential to our flood warning, detection, forecasting and incident management services, and to manage water resources and droughts and to provide evidence for permit determination. Telemetry is an important business service. By giving our flood forecasting and warning services, Category 1 responders, the public and businesses the information about river levels and rainfall that they require, it helps save lives and protect properties and infrastructure. Without resilient communications, we wouldn't be able to gather data from our measuring devices in the field or provide the necessary warning and information services. This contract is for the PSTN Gateway Service and SIP Trunking of the FoNT Data Communication Infrastructure.
