Supply of road de-icing salt

Introduction and Background Information:

Wiltshire Council has a requirement to purchase de-icing salt to be spread onto roads during its winter maintenance programme. . The purpose of this Tender is:

Requirements for Winter Maintenance Season 2016 - 2017 - To select a supplier to provide WC with its rock salt requirements for the 2016 - 2017 winter spreading season (forecast quantities provided).

Requirements for Future Winter Maintenance Seasons - To establish a contract which will provide for WC requirements during subsequent years.

Operation of the Contract

This tender will identify a contractor(s) to provide WC with its rock salt requirements during the 2016 - 2019 winter spreading season, comprising a bulk order plus additional top-ups as and when they may be required.

Contractors shall supply only against official purchase orders issued by Wiltshire Council on the full terms of this Tender document and in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
