Community Kitchens V2

Description

The London Borough of Hackney and the City of London would like to commission a provider to provide a Community Kitchens service. This service involves the provision of Cook and Eat courses. The aim of the service is to improve residents' knowledge, confidence and behaviours related to preparing and eating an affordable healthy diet. The service will also help to increase awareness of cost of living entitlements and wider wellbeing services, and to create opportunities for greater social connection as a result of attending the courses. The service will achieve the above aim by providing practical, face to face community education and skills courses and follow up courses, creating the knowledge base and support for people to make affordable, healthy changes to their diet and cooking practices. The contract period is for two years.
