## Description

Personal gas detection equipment is a critical piece of safety equipment for Marine Surveyors in the Maritime & Coastguard Agency\. Its use is mandated in Instructions to Surveyors \(MSIS 30\) and the task of survey and inspection should not be undertaken without a reliable fully charged gas detector\. The MCA has a requirement to purchase One Hundred and Thirty Personal Gas Meters to be used by MCA Surveyors for personal protection when entering dangerous or enclosed spaces\.
