Purchase of High Temperature FDM & Continuous Carbon Fibre Printers

Lancaster University would like to procure two specialist material additive manufacturing machines, the first being high temperature material filament-based, capable of processing polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) along with other more standard materials such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) or polylactic acid (PLA), and the second capable of printing with continuous strand carbon fibre. The specific requirements in terms of build volume etc. are given in the mandatory requirements in subsequent paragraphs.

There may be the possibility of a contract extension or additions to accommodate further compatible and complimentary purchases in the future, subject to the award of grant funding.

Lancaster University reserves the right not to award a contract following this tender, nor does it bind itself to accept the lowest price or any quotation. The contract awarded shall not be split in multiple suppliers to fulfil the options.
