Work description
Derbyshire County Council is seeking to appoint a principal contractor for the delivery of seven individual sites - located around the Rowthorne and Pleasley areas) which collectively form the basis of this contract. The works involve trail reinstatement at six of the sites and new build trail works at the other. The total length of the works is 5.3km (trail reinstatement sites) and 480m (new build). The overall specification of works varies from site to site but involve vegetation clearance and tree works, earthworks/excavation works, grading substrate or existing trail aggregates, new surfacing, drainage works, fencing works, access control structure works, general landscaping and habitat improvement works. Due to the nature of the funding by the Rural Development Programme for England, this contract cannot be split in separate Lots.
