GB-Basildon: Transport Services

Description

The Council requires a contractor to transport residents of whom majority of the members are over 70 and have mobility issues, some of them are registered with a disability and may need assistance getting on and off the transport. The Council has pledged to provide transport free of charge to the members of The Pitsea Activity Centre. Members will be picked up from The Range Car Park, in Pitsea and dropped at The Wat Tyler Centre Car Park. The Activity Centre is operational Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm. The service runs 50 weeks per year, with a 2-week closure over the Christmas period, (dates to be confirmed). Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
