STA-0098 DFE/GQL/003 GQ Logistics Services 2017-18

Description

The purpose of this contract is the provision of tracked and traced overnight courier services for the collection of packages of completed examination scripts from centres in England and their delivery to either residential markers or scanning bureaus, as requested by the Awarding Organisations. The supplier must provide a helpdesk and web booking service for centres to request collection slots. The number of packages collected annually ranges from 800k-900k, with the majority resulting from the General Qualifications Summer Series that runs May-June each year. Qualifications within the scope of this service include GCSEs, AS Levels, A Levels, BTECs, Functional Skills and others that meet the criteria. Additional information: The initial term was to 31/08/2017 but the option to extend was taken so the effective end date is 31/08/2018.
