## Description

This Pre-Tender Market Engagement \(PTME\) seeks information in preparation for the potential procurement of a Supplier or Suppliers to provide a custodial and/or insured Tenancy Deposit Protection \(TDP\) scheme to the Private Rented Sector \(PRS\)\. The purpose of this PTME is to: - help define the service specification for TDP schemes; - help provide a better understanding of the feasibility of the requirements set out in this document; - help define proposed measures to incentivise positive behaviours and drive performance; - understand market perspectives on contract lengths; - understand the capacity of the market to deliver and possible risks; - provide prospective bidders with an opportunity to ask questions, raise queries and any issues to be addressed at an early stage; - inform potential delivery timescales of the TDP schemes procurement including transitionary arrangements; and - help inform any policy decisions at any early stage\.
