16/02 Design, Delivery & Installation of Exhibition

Tamworth Borough Council seeks a suitably qualified contractor to design and develop a new, innovative and interactive gallery on the top floor of Tamworth Castle telling the story of the Staffordshire Hoard and the significant Saxon history of Tamworth. The Council has successfully applied for a development grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to develop plans for a larger interactive exhibition and associated activities. The successful contractor will contribute to the development of these plans under Stage 1 of the project.

Working with Castle staff the developed plans will then be submitted to the HLF as part of a Stage 2 funding application. If the application to the HLF is successful the Council shall reserve the right to extend the contract with the contractor to include Stage 2 of the project. This will require the contractor to project manage the delivery phase of the project using the approved plans to procure and install the completed exhibition.
